Development Goals

Our overarching development goal of “taking the lead by applying a two-step approach” was put forward at the First Congress of Party Representatives of HZPT. The first step is to achieve the development goals set out in the 13th Five-Year Plan after about five years of hard work, and to reach the first-class level of comprehensive strength among similar institutions in China by the 15th anniversary of the founding of HZPT (2024). The second step is, after another ten years’ endeavors, to build HZPT into a first-class higher vocational college nationwide with distinctive characteristics.

Pursuits of Values

Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, HZPT comprehensively implements the Party's education policy, takes moral education as its foundation, establishes socialist core values as its guide, combines the characteristics of higher vocational education, inherits and advocates Tao Xingzhi’s “life education theory”, and promotes the spirit of “love for all”. HZPT has developed its own distinctive culture with strengthening both morality and professional competences as its motto, pioneering and forging ahead with relentless exertion, together with adopting a truth-seeking and pragmatic attitude as its ethos, mutually benefiting from teaching as well as learning and enlightening others through the spirit of self-enlightenment as its teaching philosophy, and carrying forward craftsmanship in a most far-reaching way by utilizing both practical and intellectual abilities as its learning principle.
